Keep the paper ballot

Many people do not trust electronic voting results

Editor: Recent news reports have again brought into focus the problems with electronic voting. Langley has used voting machines in the past and many persons I have talked to do not trust the results.

I would like to see a paper ballot in the upcoming election that is manually counted in front of scrutineers and retained securely for recount if needed.

A famous quote — “The people that cast ballots do not decide the result. It is those that count the ballots that decide the election result.”

Why bother voting if you can’t trust the results?
