A bouquet of roses for Taseko Mines.

I want to give a big bouquet of roses to Taseko Mines for continuing onward with the Prosperity mine proposal.

I am looking forward to your success.

As a long-term resident of Williams Lake, I believe it goes without saying that we need these jobs if this town is to grow. Without growth, there is nothing.

I wonder how long it will take the opposition to realize that without jobs, there is no tax dollars, and without tax dollars, there are no schools to educate our children, no hospital for us or our elders, no roads for us to drive on, no tax dollars for anyone, and the list of negativity goes on forever.

I agree we need to preserve our wildlife habitat, and I believe Taseko Mines is working very hard to do this.

We will all be in big trouble if we keep opposing every job that comes to us. If only our government would step up to the plate and make us all equal, as we are, make everyone work and pay taxes. If everyone works and everyone pays taxes, the world could then grow and prosper and we would all benefit.

If you feel the world owes you a living, you are absolutely right, but let’s not forget that we all must work and pay taxes for this living.

Let’s stand together, work together, and prosper together — undivided.

Keep up the good work, Taseko; we are with you all the way.
