Often we read or hear about the negative stories of trips to Surrey Memorial Hospital’s ER.
On Friday, Sept 2, my friend Nettie tripped and fell against a bucket, hurting her back badly.
We waited a reasonable time to see if the terrible pain would ease up. It did not, so I drove her to emergency.
After we got inside, the lady who took Nettie’s information was efficient and helpful. We were shown the way to the X-ray department. That all went smoothly.
Dr. Sabados, the doctor on duty, was pleasant, comforting, helpful and understanding to everyone he dealt with, putting people in pain and others at ease. I was just waiting so I witnessed this behaviour for over two hours.
It is comforting to have someone care at a time when you are wondering what is coming next.
Both Nettie and I want to let people know that there are experienced, caring, helpful people on duty at Surrey Memorial Hospital, who are not always acknowledged.
