Editor, The Record:
Again, on a summer day, a puppy of approximately six months was left in a crate in a car recently.
The car was said to have had a temperature of over 100 Fahrenheit, even though the car’s sunroof was ajar. A dog could perish in 10 minutes, all the while panting and losing precious moisture.
Here’s a test: Put on your warmest winter clothing to mimick a dog’s fur coat. Drive to your local parking lot, shut off the engine and close all the windows.
How long would you last?
