I agree with the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C. that the provincial government should fund legal aid services better. However, lawyers should also realize that if they charged a couple of hundred dollars less per hour, their services would be more accessible.
Lawyers are not the only hard-working, educated people around – but they charge like they are. Their fingerpointing and outrage at the “absolute crisis in the courts” is beyond hypocritical and into the realm of the ridiculous.
