B.C. government lifting COVID restrictions too soon
On May 30, 2020 there was 11 new cases of COVID-19 [in B.C.]. Confirmed case total was 2,573 with 228 active cases. Thirty-five people in hospital with five in intensive care.
Total year to date deaths was 164.
Now one year later on May 30, 2021 there was 212 new cases of COVID-19. Confirmed case total was 144,209 with 2,853 active cases, 249 people in hospital with 78 in intensive care.
Total year to date pandemic deaths is 1,708.
As of Dec. 15, 2020, 3,250,116 people have been vaccinated with one dose of vaccine.
That is 69.7 per cent of B.C.’s total population.
The provincial government has announced a four-stage plan to oust the province out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some doctors have already made comments that lifting COVID restrictions too fast will only let COVID-19 to become the boss, again.
In summary, the B.C. government is admitting that the economy is number one and COVID-19 is number two. The final result being money is more important than our health.
