Letter: Being Canadian confusing these days

At times in the past three years [in Kelowna] I have been ashamed to be Canadian. Please restore my hope , my faith.

To the editor:

I am totally confused. What is a democratic country?

At age 98 I thought I know right from wrong. I do not steal, I love my neighbours as I love myself.

Are there two laws, two measures?

Is the Senate a fat joke at my expense? Why do we need the Senate?

What do I tell my grandchildren of Canadian democracy?

At times in the past three years I have been ashamed to be  Canadian. Please restore my hope , my faith.

Ed Sullivan would have said: “This is a big show.”

The whole country is confused.

Our young first-time prime minister, Justin Trudeau, made a faux pas. The media seems to want his head on a platter. Is jealousy a disease?
