Dear Editor:
I’m one of the Canadian majority who voted for meaningful climate action.
I have expected a lot from the government on climate related issues and have been disappointed.
The Teck Frontier mine, also known as the world’s largest tar pit/landscape disruption must not go ahead.

If we put the same kind of planning and investment into green energy options such as community solar, rebates for individual and business solar or geothermal installations, green roofs, wind power, climate resilient building retrofits, and the recovery of habitat that’s been lost to abandoned fossil fuel production facilities, plus training for all of these proven enterprises, we would be moving toward a real and realistic Green New Deal future.
Show us you’ve got the guts to lead us there.
Show us you know that just as many jobs will be created by approving a fossil free future.
Don’t show us how easily you can be swayed by an industry that can’t give us a clean, clear, positive future.
Do not approve Teck Frontier.
