From my observation, every year more dog owners than ever ignore the ban on dogs on Willows Beach from May to September, which is a shame, as it means fewer and fewer opportunities to see other forms of wildlife: herons and other interesting water and shore birds, otters, seals, etc.
Please dog owners, spare a thought for living creatures who want to enjoy Willows Beach without dogs for those all-too-brief five months of the year.
