LETTER: Door-to-door service not reliable

Editor;

Editor;

I am writing to you, because I find HandyDart is not a reliable service any more.

I am a current client of HandyDart (since 2003). There has been several times when HandyDart has both picked me up from both home and at Semiahmoo House Society (an organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities). I have called dispatch numerous times and get a rude dispatcher from time to time.

Last week, I waited until 4:50 p.m. before the HandyDart arrived. My pickup time to return home is 4-4:30 p.m.; this is what First Transit is doing. No changes since the MVT Canada was in operation to mess things up, in the first place.

In my opinion; they get an F rating from me. HandyDart, should go back to the way things were: the Surrey run was operated by Options and the Langley/White Rock run was operated by Semiahmoo House Society.

If you ask me, I’m furious about what has been done, for I have been picked up late more then four times; after my shift at Semiahmoo House!
