The recent front-page headline in your newspaper (“Who you gonna call?” on Nov. 2, 2018) is a disgrace to your profession.
There is no such word as “gonna” in the English language and the whole line is improperly phrased.
Society has enough language problems with the multiple abbreviations advocated by Twitter and the like. There is no need for a newspaper to follow that trend but rather you should be trying to educate and encourage proper terminology.
Your readers deserve an apology.
