There will be a federal election this October and I’m wondering what the various parties will tell us should be of concern: SNC-Lavalin, taxing sugary drinks, immigration or a price on carbon? When I consider everything we do happens within “the environment,” locally and globally and that environment is being impacted by serious climate disruption, I will be looking at political parties that have meaningful and measurable policies to address those environment and climate issues.
We are living in serious times and need our elected representatives to work intelligently and cooperatively to engage in effective problem solving. Collaborative co-operation can result in better solutions than just being in power.
