LETTER: Flowers for New Zealand mosque shooting victims show Surrey cares

Congregation thankful for residents' warmth and sympathy after heartbreaking tragedy

The Editor,

The management and the congregation members of the Surrey Mosque on 124th Street and 72nd Avenue are touched by the warm sympathies and beautiful flowers people brought to the mosque on March 15th in honour of the New Zealand shooting victims.

This great gesture is immensely appreciated and the flowers are in the mosque lobby until they fade – but the warmth and sympathy will never fade.

Thank you, Surrey citizens.
