I read with interest your letter New Option for Old Age Security Now Available, Aug. 2 Capital News.
Although I am a supporter of the current federal government, I have to object to your use of words ‘’seniors choosing to work longer.’’
I find it necessary to explain to you that the vast majority of Canadians don’t have the luxury of a government subsidized pension plan or any other type of pension other than CPP and OAS.
It becomes a necessity to work longer, not a choice!
