The comedy night at memorial hall by all accounts was a huge success.
What a lovely way to come together to celebrate the uniqueness of Harrison and the people who live here.
It was so well attended, people from near and far laughing and celebrating together.
As I reflected on what a community builder events such as this can be, I realize there are people in our community who miss out on these fun opportunities for various reasons.
They may be marginalized through mobility, age, resources or health; they also may not be aware of things around town or have the ability to stand in line for hours to get a seat.
I wonder if we could be more mindful of those around us who miss out on these events, maybe offer a ride or to get them a ticket.
Just a thought, seems to me life and community are richer when we look for opportunities to be inclusive.
