The City of Penticton office of municipal elections is to be commended for the improvement to this year’s election process.
By providing advanced voting days and more polling locations, and some chairs in the room, there will be less chance for the previous 2014 election days the uncomfortable, long standing in line-ups that forced several discouraged people to leave without voting.
Several people have told me that they would not be here for the advance voting days, Oct. 10, 13 and 18 and the general voting day on Oct. 20.
Some of them already know who they would vote for and would vote if they could.
I am wondering if it could be possible for them to register their votes, other than on the scheduled voting days?
