The ingredients for a happy Easter included a beautiful park, hundreds of kids with parents and grandparents in tow, thousands of Easter eggs, grilled hot dogs, painted faces, singing and dancing — all at Friends of Foster Park’s annual Easter Egg Hunt March 31.
The Friends of Foster Park would like to thank Jessica Schlager and Jeff Smith, Leigh Termath, the City of Parksville public works department and our dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. Also, thanks to Quality Foods for donating all the food for the hot dog barbecue, and to Peter Zimmerman of ReMax First Realty for the tents,, Easter eggs, jelly bean count and raffle baskets.
Finally, thank you also to Parksville musician and children’s entertainer extraordinaire Gerry Barnum and the clown, Tiggly Wiggly, who captivated their young audience.
We hope the community enjoyed this event as much as we did putting it on and seeing all the smiling faces on Saturday.
