Editor: I live in Langley Township and I was extremely pleased to see SkyTrain supporter Doug McCallum elected in Surrey.
It has bothered me considerably, that his predecessor was prepared to accept LRT when the money could be found for the other cities in the Lower Mainland — Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and part of Surrey, to have SkyTrain.
Our taxes contributed to SkyTrain in the those cities and now our leaders are prepared to be pushed around and told Surrey/Langley cannot afford SkyTrain.
What are we, the poor cousins?
Remember, most of the mayors who voted for us to have LRT, have SkyTrain in their cities.
Come on people, do you not see something wrong with this picture?
