The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is rising dramatically mostly from burning coal and natural gas which release carbons in the air.
When carbon burns it forms CO2 and it gains weight by joining with oxygen. The resulting emissions can outweigh the fuel.
This creates a blanket on the Earth, creating lots of heat, and more blankets, more heat.
Think about body temperatures: The heat of the sauna to a plunge in ice water… if our temperature goes up or down four degrees we will likely die.
The small impact in tiny amounts in a human, like blood alcohol levels, is a pleasant warmth. But if you drink more you are living in a wild and drunken sky.
Global warming leaves nothing untouched. Our summer fires, water and crop failures, through carbon emissions. We have to start thinking really hard before adding more fossil fuels to our air.
This adds up to big trouble and the emissions keep piling up. What are we doing about it?
Ask yourself. This must change very soon or else.
