Dear editor,
I’m just back from a visit to England.
Many people are taking action to get their supermarkets to wake up to consumers’ concerns about excessive one use plastic wrapping. Many are unwrapping their produce and other purchases at the store and leaving the plastic in the store. Because a lot of people are doing it, it is causing a problem, and store management is having to direct staff to spend time cleaning up and disposing of all the plastic. Think it’s a good idea? Why not try it here?
