Reopen Kokanee Creek Park
Over the last few weeks a number of local people have been using Kokanee Creek Park to get out. Being a large area with relatively few users, the social distancing is huge. People are hundreds of feet apart during their walks and the large parking lot keeps cars far apart.
This park has recently been closed. We are hoping this is a very temporary measure to discourage travellers from outside the region. We are confused, though, when we see the seawall and other parks in Vancouver still open with a large number of people using them.
Please reopen our park as soon as possible so local people can continue to get healthy exercise in a very responsible manner.
