Our current court system is severely broken.
Our judges appear more focused on handing out minimal jail sentences for gangs, drugs and other violent offences than on the victims who will endure physical and/or psychological effects for years.
It also appears that a majority of crimes are committed by repeat offenders with lengthy records.
Are the judges wanting to ensure that there is always lots of work for lawyers, or are the judges just making a statement to the politicians?
