Recently, I walked home from the village along Mill Road and Hoylake Road West and I immediately noticed cigarette butts and whilst I did not count them I must have seen almost 50 on Mill Road alone.
On Hoylake Road, I saw pop cans, water bottles, a cigarette packet, empty sandwich containers bought at a local grocery store and of course cigarette butts. All the butts were mostly near dry grass.
Why do people want to spoil our beautiful village like this, I cannot believe with all the news on TV about forest fires that smokers do this, and the other stuff I saw spoils the tranquility of a peaceful walk home. Wake up whoever is doing this and take your butts and garbage home.
