Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Summerland Museum and Archives Society I would like to acknowledge the great generosity of the Summerland Legion Branch 22.
Their commitment to the community of Summerland came through strong and clear when they donated $1,000 to the museum and sponsored the very successful war brides presentation on Nov. 24.
John Dorn as their representative was very instrumental in guaranteeing its success.
Legion President Mike Brazeau, the executive and members of the legion are to be commended for their tireless service to this community.
The war brides and their representatives spoke to an overflow crowd as their often humorous accounts of meeting their husbands and of their experiences of coming to Canada were revealed.
Thank you to all the participants and organizers of this very successful museum event.
