To the editor:
I was driving south on Pandosy Avenue last Monday after work when somebody behind me kept beeping their horn at me.
When I stopped for a red light I got out and asked the young driver in a Navy Toyota pickup truck if there was a reason for beeping.
He pointed at my right rear tire and said that I had a flat. I thanked him and got back in my car and turned the right corner and stopped, wondering what to do next.
I saw the young man also had turned and parked behind me. I got out and asked him whether he might have an iPhone that I could use to look up a phone number of a tow truck.
He replied he had not, but he would change my tire for me quickly, no problem. So he did. I was impressed by this young man’s gracious offer and his great attitude helping this old lady out without a second thought.
He made by day—no, my week! I failed to ask his name but he said he works for Rayburn’s Marine, so this is my way of saying thanks, from Johanna, the lady in the silver Nissan Versa.
