To the editor,
Re: City council asks for another report on ‘high-speed shortcut’ road, Jan. 21.
Twenty-nine people on Opal, according to a city count. Did residents who had no garbage pickup get a head count? No mail delivery, no head count either.
If you do not make a left-hand turn onto Rock City from Opal, Opal becomes a no-way street for us. No count here again.
There are students, staff and parents at Rock City school, Wellington school and Uplands Park school. You do the math – we want our children safe. The 853 cars counts only the cars, not the driver and passengers.
There are 29 people on Opal. We are also taxpayers and we number thousands.
