Dear editor,
Twenty of our doctors have made a well-intentioned plea for a cooling-off period to discuss the impasse that exists with St. Joseph’s Hospital, resulting from its administration’s decision to provide some medical services allowed by law, but not others. But their letter is unproductive; they’ve made no suggestions for a solution.
Anyone who thinks a publicly funded institution can be successfully operated by a religious organization might take another look at the residential school system.
