To the editor,
Re: Canada needs a Trump, Letters, Feb. 4.
I have never seen or heard of verifiable proof that petitioning a deity – as she mentions – of any stripe, let alone on behalf of Donald Trump, has brought any result but to get what you deserve. A large portion of the U.S. deserves the man, a larger proportion, and the world beyond deserves better. As for the writer belittling Canada’s Justin Trudeau in the face of Trump’s pomp, slander, and bad behaviour, history will prove her wrong. We are fortunate that Canada is a responsible and homogeneous democracy. No Trumps needed.

I’d bet the farm the author didn’t consider it would take a single sentence to refute.
16,000 lies echoed by his conspiracy theory pillow-talker lapdog buddy Sean Hannity and an entire network, revolving-door cabinet ministers and a chief of staff who warned of impending impeachment are not the stuff of a commander-in-chief but that of the world’s premier laughingstock elected leader. ‘Nuff said.
