LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Suggested street names bizarre

Letter writer would be mortified to live on any of Lantzville councillor's bizarrely named streets

To the editor,

Re: Lantzville wants street-naming policy to avoid ‘Kaitlyn Way,’ May 30.

As an alternative to personal street names, Coun. Ian Savage proposes some of the following: Trendsetting Street, Advanced Avenue, Technology Road, and – in a more exotic vein – Beach Bliss Place and Hiking Gems Avenue. Seriously? I’d be mortified to live on any of the councillor’s bizarrely named streets. They provide a good laugh, but it’s a bit late for an April Fool’s joke. Next to these grotesque inventions Kaitlyn Way seems positively delightful.
