LETTER: User-pay spiritual care

If anyone feels a need for this service, charge them for it

Re. “Bring back spiritual care funds, say faith leaders” (Nov. 5,)

Isn’t the solution to this fairly obvious? Make it user pay. If

anyone feels a need for this service, charge them for it. I

imagine there’s plenty of good spiritual benefactors out there

who’d be more than willing to step up and cover it for anyone who

has difficulty affording it. Local religious collection plates

are brimming over with contributors in our area. This is the

“Bible Belt” after all (as I’ve heard proudly from thousands I’ve

met since arriving).

Why is this something every taxpayer need concern themselves with?
