Letter: Whine to the people who make the decisions

…Why is it I do not find any CCs to the local MLAs and to Ottawa’s Steven Harper who is the cause of the problems.

To the editor:

I remember back in the day sleeping in tents. I cut wood for a living and to keep me warm in my 8 by 10 tent frame.  I had a stove and a warm place to sleep.

When times were hard I fished or hunted my food whenever I wanted to. I’ve worked in the damp and cold and also lived in 50 and 60 below zero weather. Oh yes, let me not forget the outhouse.

Just try that way of living today and see how fast the government will have you arrested and tell you that you don’t own the land you squatted on, so get out. Our government does not want anyone to be independent today. Government wants full control of all people in one place.

I was also a drug and alcohol counsellor.

As for a recent remark: “What other sect gets grants from government coffers collection plates or tithing?” I will not get started on that topic. “Do not blame the people on the street or the Gospel Mission.” Street people create jobs.

Although I am truly tired of people in this city who keep writing about the people on the street, the drugs, and the Gospel Mission, it’s one thing to whine and cry and let the people know what your feelings are about this city.

Instead of people just whining and crying to the local paper, why is it I do not find any CCs to the local MLAs and to Ottawa’s Steven Harper who is the cause of the problems.
