On Friday, Jan. 9, in the afternoon, I fell on the sidewalk at the corner of South Fraser Way and Gladwin Road.

I hit my face on the pavement, breaking my nose and putting a tooth through my upper lip.

So many people came to my aid and I was unable to thank anyone at the time.  I would really like to do that now.

To the two women who came and knelt by me, trying to keep me calm and talking to me while waiting for paramedics – words aren’t enough. You are angels, thank you.

To the woman who came forward with the blanket, I was starting to get cold and you are a blessing.

I’m not sure if you are the same woman who said you saw what happened, but if you are I would like to talk to you if that is possible – I have your blanket.

To the paramedics, firefighters and police who all responded, again words can’t express how grateful I am to all of you.

Finally, the doctors, nurses and staff at Abbotsford Hospital.

As always your care was excellent.

In spite of ambulances parked outside three deep when I was brought in, everyone was calm and efficient and took care of me far faster than I thought possible given the number of other patients waiting to been looked after.

Thank you all.
