I have never written to Peace Arch News before but read it faithfully.
However, after reading about Shoshana Litvack’s story – and with all the hatred in the world – I felt compelled to say something on her behalf.
I had the honour of meeting Shoshana in person some months ago when she came into the ladies boutique where I am working, to buy an evening gown for a special occasion. I found her to be very funny, engaging and very beautiful, especially when she modelled, and later bought, the red evening gown.
(Shoshana, I sincerely hope you were the belle of the ball).
I was horrified that Shoshana has experienced such dreadful abuse, but unfortunately it is quite common in the retail business.
I, too, have been treated in a distasteful manner, and it boggles my mind why people are so shallow. I can only put it down to being ignorant and small-minded.
I was always taught never to judge a book by its cover.
There’s a lesson to be learned here, all fellow retailers; try watching Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, you might learn something.
