Congratulations to all the original Penticton Vees from 1955 (still alive or passed on) for attaining the 60th anniversary of winning the World Amateur Championship.
I know they couldn’t have done it without Ivan McClelland’s own personal great contributions then and now keeping the memory going and I am sure the people of Penticton and Canada will keep it going forever.
McClelland’s book, and all the presentations he has made the over years, are unbelievable for the sport, country and our sleepy little town. I am always so proud to say to friends or anybody listening to me that I consider you a real good personal friend and I always will.
It is ironic on this same anniversary day our junior A Vees would win an extremely important triple overtime game that I hope will help propel them to the RBC Cup national championship.
Thanks for being the greatest ambassador for world amateur hockey and putting Penticton on the world map. You are an inspiration to everyone and one of the nicest gentleman anybody could ever know.
An admirer forever,
Colin Milne
