During a regular walk along the promenade near the White Rock Museum at the beach, I once again had to politely ask a group of non-English speaking visitors to put out their cigarette as I walked by them.
With all the improvements happening at the beach, it is time that White Rock adds Mandarin and other languages to the signs posted on the railway fences for those visitors who may not read English as their first language. The multilingual signs in conspicuous locations will help communicate that smoking is not allowed on the promenade or in front of the museum.
I hope action is taken before completion of the new landscape project and the summer. It’s an easy fix.
