LETTERS: ‘Decimation’ of trees disappointing

This was our view Tuesday morning at King George and 16 Avenue as we were travelling to Morgan Crossing. We live directly across from this travesty in a 25-year-old gated community.

We were aware of the development signage, and the blue fencing, so we knew that building was going to occur.

However, we were not prepared for the total decimation of the entire area. There were several magnificent trees on that lot, and we thought that some would be saved. Unfortunately, we were wrong.

When is this going to end?

The infrastructure is not being increased in South Surrey, but the building of houses, townhouses, etc., continues.

In the words of our seven-year-old granddaughter last year, “Where are all the birdies going to live?”

I wonder.
