Now to make pedestrians push the button.
With reference to the pedestrian crossing on 16 Avenue, Ocean Park, between Chans and the Safeway, many pedestrians do not push the button, they just cross.
I have followed a few into the parking lot and asked why they don’t push the button for the light. Their response is that they can see the cars coming.
I reply that as a driver, it is helpful to see the light ahead of time, so that I can look for the pedestrian who is crossing. This system is only as good as its use by the pedestrians.
