TransLink, our non-elected board who has the power to tax us, is cutting service again to the 351 bus.
Remember when TransLink cut direct route service to Vancouver? I am told TransLink is planning to cut service to White Rock and South Surrey.
The 351 will stop at 16 Avenue/Johnston Road and passengers will have to transfer to the local bus to continue their travel.
The local bus runs until 9 p.m., so if you live further than 16 Avenue/Johnston Road, you will have to walk, take a cab or have someone pick you up.
Why should we have to be put to all the stress to transfer, especially at night, with such a large population of seniors, when the system we have works just fine?
I hope you will all use any means to protest this unfair plan. We pay high taxes and receive less service.
