I, too, follow the unfolding story behind the tragic shooting of Hudson Brooks.
The confusing crux of the matter is why lethal force is used to take down a person who does not pose a lethal threat. I believe this is a public question shared by many.
What compounds the dismay and confusion is the severe lack of public education by police of what exactly are the rules of engagement by law that allows for the use of lethal force.
The use of lethal force in certain situations is obvious, but in non-lethal situations it is not obvious at all.
