About 14 months ago, I turned my sink taps only to be splattered with muddy water.
Instead of complaining, I installed a fairly expensive filter system that included a sediment filter. After the installation, my water was pretty clean – but my neighbours occasionally complained about muddy water.
Since I have to replace the sediment cartridge every six months, I am still amazed at how black my filter is.
I know we have a filtering system coming online next year, but this may not stop the crud that shows up at our house.
Our neighbourhood is still being fed dirty water that people are drinking. This is absolutely disgusting. Oh I forgot – our mayor only finds posters on telephone poles disgusting (Pier notices ‘shameful’, March 21).
The city bought a lemon from Epcor for a ridiculous sum of money, considering all the repairs that are needed. Maybe they should install individual home filtering systems, so people can use the water instead of wasting money on parking lots and water features at Memorial Park.
