Re: Restaurateurs face struggle on Marine Drive, Oct. 21.
Marine Drive restaurants don’t do well because they simply don’t provide good value for money spent.
Many of the venues are in need of repair and updating, have poor washroom facilities, provide overpriced mediocre food…
Who wants to sit on a hot crowded sidewalk and breathe exhaust fumes? And pay for parking, if you can find any?
There are many other clean, well-run establishments that provide excellent fare in a great, less-crowded environment.
There was no competition in the past. Consumers have choices and vote with their pocketbooks.
