LETTERS: Reserve library parking for elderly, disabled

There is a problem for us older residents when we try to visit our library during the daytime. There is no parking available.

Almost all of the spaces are occupied by people visiting the White Rock municipal offices and no parking is allowed around the bus stop, police parking and hydrant areas.

This makes it very difficult for elderly or disabled people to use the library during the day. When I asked the library staff if it was possible to reserve a few spaces for library users they said that they had already requested this, but were refused.

Other parking is available up the hill or around the White Rock Elementary school but that involves difficult slopes and distance for the more disabled of us.

Can the White Rock municipality reserve some spaces for the library users?
