Re: Surrey’s gridlock is madness, May 30 editorial.
I applaud your forthright comments on “Surrey’s daily perfect traffic storm,” for we witness its invasion of our White Rock community as well.
Furthermore, while we know it is suggested to be healthier to embrace change rather than resisting its inevitability, this “explosion” of densification – see White Rock Coun. David Chesney’s recently challenged moratorium attempt (Moratorium on highrises called ‘illegal’, May 30) – continues to create a miasma of obstruction, chaos, dirt and danger for both drivers and pedestrians alike.
Where is the former daily safety and peaceful comfort? It certainly has disappeared from the lives of not only South Surrey residents, but also those living in White Rock.
