White Rock and South Surrey attract people of all ages to live, particularly seniors.

While we have lots of resources in our community, through conversations with my constituents, it’s clear there is an opportunity to better connect seniors with more of the services that they need.

Whether it’s health services, or housing, or community activities, White Rock and South Surrey have all manner of services to keep seniors active, healthy, and connected.

That’s why I am pleased to be hosting my first annual Seniors Expo on Saturday, May 25.

Please join me from 9 a.m. to noon at Star of the Sea Hall in White Rock to learn more about the resources available to you.

This free-of-charge event will feature speakers including British Columbia Seniors Advocate Isobel McKenzie and Westminster Savings Branch Manager Brent Armstrong, who will cover topics ranging from combating financial fraud to health care and supports for seniors.

There will also be vendors and representatives of various local services who specialize in supportive and fun activities and services for seniors.

As always, my constituency office is available to assist you in person at 135-1959 152 St. in Surrey, by phone at 604-542-3930, or by email at tracy.redies.MLA@leg.bc.ca.

We will be happy to help.

Tracy Redies, MLA, Surrey-White Rock
