As an 87-year-old senior, I was in need of seeing a doctor last Saturday morning.
The only walk-in clinic that was open until 5 p.m. was in Morgan Creek, and we arrived at 3.30 p.m. when a kind young man in the clinic opened the door for us.
At the desk they said they were taking no more patients.
My husband was very concerned for me and was given the address of a clinic at Willlowbrook Mall in Langley, or we could go to emergency.
The same young man stepped up to the desk and offered me to take his place. I believe his name was Shaun.
Shaun, I am so grateful for your selfless act of kindness that teaches us all the value of the human spirit, which is not yet dead.
I will pass on your kindness to another.
I am reminded of a Netflix series, The Kindness Diaries, hosted by Leon Logothetis.
