Further to the well-written letter April 15 regarding ” Be Courteous on Promenade ” last week, we now find ourselves dealing with crowds on the promenade.
If walkers would follow the suggestions in last week’s letter, perhaps the concern would be alleviated somewhat.
The council is now put in the position of perhaps closing parking, the pier and the promenade again as was done last year.
If this were to happen, it would affect the restaurants, which are struggling to stay above water, and just expanded their patio space at considerable cost.
We need people to care for each other. Keeping our distance is respect for each other.
