I never knew my grandfather, Mah Yick, but after travelling to Salmon Arm to see the Mah Yick laundry exhibit last month at the R.J. Haney Heritage Village, both my husband Don and I were very moved by the detailed exhibit, complete with a photo of my mom in the window. Thank you to the museum and Deborah Chapman for her very thorough investigation and creative display.
She and the museum are quite a treasure!
