How unfortunate that our MLA should react in such a negative way to the overwhelming rejection of the water referendum.
If funding is based on merit, then I have to question our government’s expenditures on such projects as the Jumbo ski resort, the large grants to the Penticton recreation complex and the cost of leasing land in the South Okanagan for a correctional centre when it should have been built in a more central location and on government-owned land.
Surely a viable water supply is a necessity to Greater Vernon and should be a top priority.
Come on Eric Foster, work for us as you did for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital project.
