It looks like we in the Nanaimo hinterland are beating our heads against a brick wall of bureaucratic stupidity.
I am willing to bet, if this railway thing really gets going, that we will be asked to come up with more than the $20 million currently estimated. And for what?
What leads these people to think the revamped setup will be any more popular than the previous arrangement? I have seen the train go past with less than five people on board. I e-mailed the federal department responsible for contributing to this boondoggle and urged them to refuse. Obviously, in vain. I hope our RDN reps will continue to oppose this nonsense.
