Many say that Jagmeet Singh won the recent French language debate. There’s also an argument to say that NDP candidate Alistair MacGregor was the strongest presenter at the Cowichan-Malahat-Langford all candidates debate that I attended this week.

However, the national and local NDP’s tactic of suggesting that the Greens do not fully support a woman’s right to choose is disgusting. To repeat, disgusting.

Of course, the NDP is doing this because they see traditional NDP supporters switching to the Greens. They feel some heat from Greens in a number of ridings now. But to play dirty pool wipes out their credibility, no matter how good they are in debates.

I used to vote NDP and could trust that they would stick to issues rather than resort to dirty tactics. No more. Jack Layton would not have stooped to this level.
